Ayfer Tunç is a Turkish novelist, short story writer, screenwriter and poet. She started her working life as a journalist and editor in publishing. Her writing examines society, memory and hypocrisy through stories deeply rooted in everyday life in contemporary Turkey. Her best known novels are The Night of the Green Fairy and The History of a Madhouse.
