Beatriz Serrano is a journalist and writer from Madrid. She has worked for publications including Vogue, GQ, BuzzFeed and El País. Her novels El descontento (trs Discontent;2023) and Fuego en la garganta (trs Fire in the Throat;2024), a finalist for the Planeta Prize, explore themes of identity, loneliness and contemporary anxiety. Her first novel in English Discontent, about a young ad creative in Madrid, is both funny and incisive.
