Liliana Corobca is a Moldovan-Romanian novelist, essayist and playwright based in Bucharest. She is the author of nine novels including KinderlandThe Master and Makarenko, and A Year in Paradise. Her work has been translated into numerous languages and has received several prizes, including the Oxford-Weidenfeld Translation Prize (2023) for The Censor’s Notebook. Her writing explores themes of migration, exile, censorship and survival. Her latest novel is Too Great a Sky.
