Makis Malafekas

Makis Malafekas is a crime writer and essayist born in Athens. He studied art history and social anthropology and has published essays and articles in publications including Libération and Mediapart. He is the author of six books including Deepfake, which was shortlisted for the 2025 European Union Prize for Literature and is his first novel translated into English.
