Sara Stridsberg is a writer and playwright whose work has been translated into more than 25 languages. A former member of the Swedish Academy, she is a leading feminist and artist.. Her novel Faculty of Dreams received the Nordic Council Literature Prize in 2007 and was longlisted for the Man Booker International Prize in 2019. Her novels The Gravity of Love, Darling River and Antarctica of Love consolidated her position as one of Europe’s foremost storytellers. Her plays have been widely performed in Sweden and internationally. She has won the European Union Prize for Literature, the Dobloug Prize, De Nios Winter Prize and the Selma Lagerlöf Prize. Her collection of short stories, Hunter in Huskvarna, was published in 2021. Her new novel, Farewell to Panic Beach, was published in Sweden in 2024.
