Prominent novelist, screenwriter, poet and psychologist. Known for her concise, melodic and powerful style, she is one of Poland’s leading contemporary writers, winning two prestigious literary prizes, the Poznań Literary Award for Lifetime Achievement and Poland’s Nike Award. She debuted in 1989 with poetry, then wrote several novels and plays, pushing herself with each new work to explore new truths, language and styles.
